The 4th Annual Los Angeles Concours d’Elegance®
Assistance League® of Southern California presented the 4th Annual Los Angeles Concours d’Elegance at the Rose Bowl Stadium and adjacent Brookside Golf Course on June 7, 2009, in Pasadena, California.
The event, which has become the premier concours in Southern California, showcased 350 extraordinary cars including horseless carriages dating from the early 1900s, European and American classics from the 20s, 30s and 40s and muscle cars of the 50s and 60s. European cars such as Delahayes and Bugattis, European sports cars, exotic cars, and a large collection of Ferraris, hot rods and race cars were displayed along with featured British cars that included Rolls-Royces, Aston Martins, Cobras, Jaguars and Bentleys.
The Best in Show Prewar award was given to the 1939 Bugatti Type 57C owned by Peter and Merle Mullin, and the Best in Show Postwar award went to the 1966 Rolls-Royce State Landaulette owned by Ken and Ann Smith. call
The Los Angeles Concours is managed entirely by volunteers, and all proceeds go directly to the eight services of Assistance League of Southern California, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation founded in 1919 that serves more than 100,000 individuals in need, from infants to the elderly, each year.
